Configuring Multiple Primary Domains

Problem Definition

Is PortalGuard configurable to support users in child domains?

Solution

Listed below are the steps for configuring multiple primary domains:

1) Create two User Repository’s from the User Repositories tab of the PortalGuard Configuration Editor.

2) On the LDAP Basic tab of each repository, specify the Base DN that represents the child domain for each repository.

The Native Windows tab can have the same field values.

On the Resolution tab, enter the Username Prefix, Username Suffix or both (highlighted below) that you want the user to enter at the username field which PG will use to determine which repository to use for that user. You can also resolve to the repository depending on what hostname they use in the URL when accessing PortalGuard. The hostname would be entered in the large white box below.
