Problem Definition

You have an installation of PortalGuard and are interested in changing the complexity settings for answers given to challenge questions.

Solution

PortalGuard's security policies offers different levels of answer complexity an administrator can set. Listed below are the options available:

• Case sensitive answers - If this option is selected in the security policy, answers given to challenge questions must be typed exactly as they were when they were first enrolled.

• Prevent answer repetition - If this option is selected in the security policy, answers provided cannot be used multiple times on different questions.

• Prevent question words as answers - If this option is selected in the security policy, answers provided cannot match a word in the question.

• Allow repeated character answers - If this option is selected in the security policy, answers provided can have repeated characters accepted in the answer.

• Fully normalize answers - If this option is selected in the security policy, alpha numeric characters are removed from answers and converted to lowercase.
